Roger started farming in 1979 and throughout those years raised 24 different crops, including growing hemp seed for grain and CBD. He has a range of knowledge as a grower, business owner, producer, and exporter and likes to share his expertise with those wanting to learn more. Roger is a world traveler, passionate about motorcycles and an animal lover, especially his Jack Russell, Loki.

Originally from Kazakhstan, Nurgul can speak four languages: Kazak, Russian, English, and French. She has a background in physics and finance. Nurgul loves gardening, traveling, and being with her two cats.

Karen is passionate about all things food: nutrition, food preparation, recipe development, and food security. She was a Family and Consumer Science teacher for 36 years before joining HOS. She enjoys spending time with her family, taking walks with friends, traveling, and volunteering.

Maree Smith

Marketing and Spanish Specialist

Maree is passionate about all things Spanish and she lived in Spain for three years. She enjoys helping Healthy Oilseeds with digital marketing and language translation for our Spanish speaking customers. Maree loves trying out new workouts, swimming, and playing golf.

Valentin is originally from Moldova but has made his home in North Dakota since 2002. He is a wonderful problem solver, has 3 children, and enjoys watching the activities they are involved in. He likes to camp, cook on the grill, and watch wrestling matches.

Andrew is from Kazakhstan and has lived in many places in the world including New York City. He likes cats, traveling, and riding his bike.
